Positions and Achievements
We grew up with a birdfeeder outside our kitchen bay window, a copy of the Birds of North America on the table. My father talked of seeing Yellow-bellied Sapsuckers, my grandmother laid open her Audubon on the coffee table. So I always was aware of birds and watched them. I became fascinated with loons when I lived in Maine. I truly became a birder about two years ago when I went to Cape May and bought myself a good pair of binoculars and joined a morning bird walk. I’ve discovered a new passion that knows no bounds. When I become a member of DVOC I know that my involvement in birds and birding will increase by leaps and bounds. Locally I bird mainly in New Jersey.
