Positions and Achievements
I started birding about 15 years ago when I helped my mother during a downsizing move. I found a decorative bird feeder in the basement, which had been gifted to her but she never used. Remembering how we fed the birds in our yard when I was younger, I asked her if I could take it for my own house. It wasn't very functional, and soon a squirrel broke it, but for the brief time I had it I'd attracted enough different species to want to explore more, bought a field guide and another feeder, and haven't stopped since.
