Positions and Achievements

I stumbled upon birding at the age of 9, courtesy of a Peterson Field Guide that appeared in my family's living room one summer day. I consider myself extremely lucky to have grown up in Cape May County and benefited immensely from both the volume of birds, and volume of birders, that can be found here.

Cape May remains my "home patch," though I travel regularly for fieldwork and for fun. Some of my current responsibilities include: Migration Count Coordinator for the Cape May Bird Observatory, compiler of the Mizpah Christmas Bird Count, regional editor for North American Birds, and board member for the Hawk Migration Association of North America.
