"John
James Audubon (April 26, 1785 – January 27, 1851) was a French-American
ornithologist, naturalist, hunter, and painter. He painted, catalogued,
and described the birds of North America in a form far superior to what
had gone before. In his outsize personality and achievements, he seemed
to represent the new American nation of the United States." - from

JJA was arrested on Sept. 25, 1833 in Philly for an old debt.
Wonder if we can get a copy & post of the arrest report or a notice of the arrest from one of the newspapers?
Also...in your wanderings at old libraries, etc, keep your eyes out for an article(s) published in 1835 in the Bucks County Intelligencer titled "Defence of Audubon" by Bachman
This would be the newspaper
