Don Kroodsma
Professor of Biology - University of Massachusetts
"The man" in the science of bird song today--the ultimate authority-- and his talk at DOS some two years ago was a great success. His book "The Singing Life of Birds" is also a terrific read--highly recommended. Our banquet speaker, Don Kroodsma, will be signing copies of his book
"The Singing Life of Birds: The Art and Science of Listening to
Birdsong". If you do not already own this excellent work, there will
be a limited number of books available for sale at a steep discount.
Hardback copies will be $16 and paperbacks will be $11. If you would like to reserve a copy prior to the banquet, let Paul Guris know so that you don't miss out. If reservations outstrip the number of books currently available, we will attempt to have more copies available.
