Have always been an animal lover, but my fascination with birds
began during the pandemic when spending hours during shut down on my
own balcony/aerie on the 10th floor of a center city apt bldg, I saw
flocks of birds I\'d never seen here before flying at just my eye level
and sometimes landing on my balcony. People said it was due to the
lack of air and car travel in the city. I loved it. I\'ve since see a
hawk - a rather large one - fly down walnut street and scooping up a
pigeon who quickly meet his demise. And a woodpecker that seemed to
hang out in Rittenhouse Square for some time. I\'m looking to learn
more and to get out in nature as an antidote to a sometimes stressful
life. Very much a neophyte at this point.
