I was introduced to birding in 1985 by my father-in-law, with an
Osprey and a Yellow Warbler, in the Narragansett Eastern Bay. I birded
casually while working and raising my family, but joined Hawk Mountain
in 1996 and took the family and my Girl Scout troops there (as a
member, there are group campsites available) while living in Princeton
NJ. Still a member there. Moved to Valley Forge in 2013 and went all
in. Joined West Chester Bird Club, and began leading for them in 2018
(prefer ducks, waders and shorebirds). Joined PSO last year. Stand
as # 34 ebirder in Chesco. USA 600+ birds, global 2000 birds. Support
seabird research (tagging/tracking) under auspices of Nat Audubon
Seabird Institute and Fundación Jocotoco Galápagos, Ecuador.
Underwrite the Bucktoe Spring hawk and shorebird watch. Write a local
history column for Larry Lewis’s weekly Chesco birding blog
