I started birding in the summer of 2022 and it quickly became
very important in my life, with lots of thanks to other birders and
DVOC members for showing me the ropes. I bird in both Philadelphia
(where I live) and Delaware County (where I work), and I particularly
enjoy spots in the Riverwards neighborhoods near the Delaware River. I
also feel lucky to live directly across from a decommissioned Philly
public school that now hosts Chimney Swifts in its brick chimney every
summer, which is a true highlight each year.
