Join BirdPhilly for a walk at this under-birded park in West Philly, which combines forest, some open space, and a wetland. We should see plenty of birds in these various habitats, including some early migrants.
Let’s meet at the trailhead at Sherwood Rd and 66th Street (GPS: 39.983644, -75.257449). There is ample street parking. We’ll walk around 2 miles on hiking trails that include a moderate incline here and there and cross two or three streams. Dress for weather.
No binoculars? No worries! Birding backpacks with binoculars and field guides are now available on loan at all branches of the Free Library of Philadelphia.
For questions, please reach out to birdphillywalks@gmail.com.
The event is free and open to everyone.
