Vulture Village: A Look Into the World of Black Vultures
Speaker: Kojo Baidoo (remote)
Black vultures are one of the most abundant raptors in the New World, ranging from the northeast United States down south to Central and South America. Although they are well-known for their scavenging habits, their intriguing breeding and social behaviors are less-often mentioned. Take a look into the world of the Black Vulture, a bird that is one of a kind and sure knows it!
Kojo Baidoo is a 22-year-old birder from Baltimore County, Maryland. He recently graduated from Princeton University with a Bachelors in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology. His love of birds first ignited in the first grade when he picked out and read a book about raptors at his school’s book fair, and he has not looked back! Kojo added photography and social media in his teenage years, and has found it an incredible avenue for him to share his passions and connect with others. This fall, he is working for the Cape May Bird Observatory as an Interpretative Naturalist!
