Join the DVOC (Delaware Valley Ornithological Club) on Sunday, March 19th at Arlington Cemetery (2900 State Road, Drexel Hill 19026) for our second monthly bird walk from 8am-9:30am. We’ll keep our eyes and ears open for this hotspot’s 79+ different reported species, looking specifically for early warblers, red winged blackbirds, northern flickers, eastern phoebes, chipping sparrows, and brown headed cowbirds. Binoculars can be rented from Cobbs Creek Library, if you don’t have your own. Photographers are welcome to bring their telescopic lenses.
Hiking boots or comfortable walking shoes are recommended. We’ll likely stick to the paved roads to ensure we’re ADA-friendly and will meander for approximately 1-2 miles. Our group strives to be inclusive of all neighbors regardless of gender, race, sexuality, abilities and age. We look forward to enjoying nature with you all!
Meet at the Toppitzer Funeral Home parking lot at 8am. Led by Lynne Rabchuk and Jamie Watts. Free for all to attend
