The 200+ acre park surrounding Mill Grove, the first home in the US of John James Audubon, has several diverse birdy habitats – meadow, mature woodland, wetlands and the Perkiomen Creek. The E-bird checklist shows 180 species. The hike around Mill Grove is about 1.5 miles and takes about 2 hours, depending on bird activity. The paths are partly asphalt and partly rough woodland tracks. There are a few gentle hills. Precautions against ticks are recommended.
