Cape May Swift Springwatch with George Armistead, Liam Hart and Tom Reed

We’ll meet at the Coral Ave. Dune Crossover and spend the first 2-3 hours of the morning watching whatever migrants come in, hoping for a nice morning songbird or waterbird flight. It will be a great opportunity to learn about the annual Cape May spring watch census conducted by Tom Reed and crew. The fall censuses are well known but the spring one is less well known.

This is a great trip for folks working on their Billings Big Year list!

Liam, Tom & George will be there from 6am to 9am and perhaps later depending on the flight. We will then size up the day and probably visit another nearby spot like South Cape May Meadows, Stone Harbor, etc. We’ll end the field trip around 1pm. Limit to 10 participants (not including leaders).

Trip Leader: George Armistead, Liam Hart, Tom Reed
