Please join us for a bird walk at Houston Meadow! Our friends at Climate Action PA persuaded us to do one of our very rare July outings. We should still get great looks at our common breeders and maybe encounter an Ovenbird or Scarlet Tanager. Maybe even an early migrant warbler.
We will meet at the Houston Playground/Recreation Center (GPS: 40.0690867, -75.2316676) and walk about 2.5 miles. There should be plenty of street parking. The terrain will be a loop hiking trail through woods and meadows with some moderate incline. Dress for weather and bring plenty of water. It’s the end of July.
No binoculars? No worries! Birding backpacks with binoculars and field guides are on loan at all Philly Free Library branches.
