Bring a chair to the Dobson School in Manayunk to watch Chimney Swifts enter the old chimney to roost for the evening. These amazing birds swarm just before sunset and enter the chimney by the hundreds. This has been the hot spot in the last few years with over 3000 swifts roosting in the chimney. Parking is available at the Ivy Ridge Train Station, 4910 Umbria Street. Rain date: Tues. Sept. 24.
