Edwin B. Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge
800 Great Creek Rd, Oceanville, NJ

Event Type

We will explore “Brig” looking for shorebirds, gulls and other migrants by driving the wildlife loop. We will make stops along the drive where we have good views of shorebirds that use this WMA as a stopover on their way to breeding grounds in the north. This is a great time to see full breeding plumage of Dunlin, Sandpipers, Plovers and other birds. Bring a scope if you have one. We will share scopes if possible (according to CDC guidelines). Bug repellent, sunscreen, hat and sunshirt are a must. Bring plenty of water and snacks too.
