Wharton State Forest for Nighthawks

Join Steve Mattan and Patty Rehn in Wharton State Forest. We will focus on hearing and seeing nightjars, especially Common Nighthawks performing their Booming displays. We will also make some efforts to hear and see Barred Owl and Whip-poor-will. Chuck’s-will’s-widow is also possible. Bring insect repellent! This trip is weather dependent and may be rescheduled if necessary.
Google Map – Give yourself plenty of time to find the meeting location.

Bring a chair and beverage of your choice. Bug repellent is probably a good idea too!
