I started birding during the pandemic, early 2020, and ended up taking most of the Cornell Bird Academy online courses in short order. (Still working on finishing that shorebird course, but just need to spend more time on the coastlines. I live in Upper Darby and am on a trail with ebird every weekend, binoculars and camera in tow. I\'m a lifelong musician and composer, dedicating regular time for creative work. I\'m a full-time piano technician and service around 500 pianos around the Philadelphia area. Birding made me suddenly aware of the need for conservation and greenspace protection, so I\'m learning as much as I can.
