Positions and Achievements
My dad has always been a birder, but I didn't catch the bug until I was in my 40s. I started in 2013, when I went out on my own and used Peterson's field guide to identify a Yellow Warbler and Palm Warbler. Being able to identify (accurately!) those two birds was exciting, and an impetus to take my first steps into the world of birding. I've been hooked since. I usually bird my home county (Burlington) for convenience and its vast habitats.
