We've been casual bird watchers since we were kids but didn't know about birding until 6 years ago when we stumbled upon a broadcast of The Big Year. We looked at each other and said, "People actually do that? We could do that!"
Our life list is more that 400. COVID ended our plans to visit the Southwest and Northwest so we've focused on the locals. The birding gods were kind; they sent a bald eagle feeder bird this past weekend; we're still in shock and awe. Most of our birding is done in NJ; many different habitats in close proximity. Otherwise, we're at Peace Valley Park or Lake Nockamixon.
