I became an active birder late in life in spite of a lifelong fascination with the migratory route of the arctic tern and enchantment with the scarlet tanager. The birding chapter began a few years ago when I attended a seminar on warblers. I was hooked. Ever since, I have joined birding tours and explored local hotspots while meeting many friendly and knowledgeable birders along the way. Contributing to citizen science and participating in conservation activities that support the protection of birds and their habitat are important to me. I look forward to a lasting fellowship with the birding community.
