Positions and Achievements
My husband Bill and I have been birders for over 40 years and have traveled worldwide in pursuit of our hobby. We've participated in almost 40 years of Christmas Bird Counts; Bill started the count for Seaford, DE in 1983. We are both active participants in the Delaware Breeding Bird Atlas, currently in progress. Bill is also a regional compiler for the atlas. We are co-founders of the Sussex Bird Club in southern Delaware and Bill is the club's current president. We teach various courses about birds for the Lifelong Learning at the University of Delaware, as well as for Road Scholar. We lead monthly field trips for our local National Wildlife Refuge, Prime HookNWR, and serve as officers of the refuge friends group. Bill is a retired chemical engineer and I am a retired school social worker.
