I am a teenage birder who has loved birds and nature for as long as I can remember! I became particularly enthralled with the birding world after taking a homeschooler's birding/ornithology class when I was 10. I love Philly birding, from expansive John Heinz at Tinicum, to smaller patches like Red Square and The Woodlands; but I also enjoy trips out of state, particularly to New Jersey. For the past several years, I have volunteered with both migratory songbird and saw-whet owl banding at Willistown Conservation Trust's Rushton Woods Preserve. I also intern at The Woodlands, where I lead bird-related events and maintain a local birding blog: https://www.woodlandsphila.org/blog/?tag=Birding My interests besides birding include piano, opera, and writing poetry.
