Birdwalk at Poquessing Creek Park North
Please join us for a bird walk at this underappreciated park in NE Philly! We should see plenty of sparrows and some early migrating warblers like Palm and Pine Warblers. Eastern Phoebes and Woodpeckers should also be around. If we are lucky we might get a glimpse of activity at a Cooper’s and Red-tailed Hawk nest.
We will meet at the end of McNulty Road (14400 McNulty Rd, Philadelphia, PA 19154). There is a dead end. Cars can be parked along the road. GPS for Google Maps: 40.107337, -74.972503.
Sturdy footwear is recommended as the ground can be wet and muddy.
You don’t have a pair of binoculars? Birding backpacks (including binoculars and field guide) are available at the following libraries: Andorra, Cobbs Creek, Cecil B. Moore, Logan, Richmond, South Philly and Widener.
The event is free and open to everyone.
