Event Type

We’ll explore the newest addition to Northeast Philadelphia’s riverfront – Robert A. Borski, Jr. Park. There are ballfields, a meadow, and river access. Low tide should yield some gulls on the mudflats. Depending on the weather and bird activity, we might do a stationary river watch. Dress for weather.

Let’s meet at the Delaware River Trail sign at the entrance of the park next to the parking lot.

No binoculars? No worries! Birding backpacks with binoculars and field guides are on loan at the following local Philly libraries: Andorra, Cobbs Creek, Cecil B. Moore, Chestnut Hill, Eastwick, Falls of Schuylkill, Fishtown, Fox Chase, Greater Olney, Independence Library, Logan, Lovett Memorial, Northeast Regional, Oak Lane, Parkway Central, Richmond, South Philly, Torresdale, West Philadelphia Regional, and Widener.
