Please join us for a birdwalk in this popular birding spot in NW Philly! Spring migration is still in full swing, and local breeders are already hard at work raising young or finding a mate after spending the winter in warmer climates.
Let’s meet in front of the visitor center of the Schuylkill Center for Environmental Education at 9:00 am. The walk will include some up-and-down hills.
All events are open to everyone and all skill levels. We will go over binocular use, field guides, and apps if needed. Everyone is welcome to stay for as long or as short a time as they like. Restroom access is limited or unavailable. Check the weather and dress for comfort. These events will happen rain or shine; cancel for downpours and storms.
No binoculars? No worries! Birding backpacks with binoculars and field guides are now available on loan at all branches of the Free Library of Philadelphia.
