The 35th annual Philadelphia Mid-Winter Bird Census (PMWBC) was held on Saturday January 9, 2021. One hundred and three participants (the largest number to date) in 50 parties took part in the 2021 census, recording 108 species and 31,553 individual birds. Saw-whet Owls at Rushton Woods
November 12, 2021 DVOC enjoyed a super night with Saw-whets at Rushton Woods Preserve, on November 12. The banding crew, guided by Mike McGraw, did an excellent job of sharing information, engaging the group, and explaining the science behind banding the species.
