It is with deep sadness that we report the passing of DVOC member Elizabeth Billings on Sunday April 5, after a brief illness. Liz was the widow of John R. (Bob) Billings, who was a member for 44 years until his passing in 2009. Bob left a bequest to the club in his will to establish and fund the contest now known as the Bob Billings Big Year Award. We always enjoyed seeing Liz and their daughter, Karen Walter, during the presentation of the award each year. We offer our deepest condolences to Karen and her family.
