Many of you folks might know about it already, but I wanted to draw your attention to the current process to develop a Master Plan for the redevelopment of the Franklin Delano Roosevelt (FDR) Park in South Philly.
While recent stakeholder meetings have been encouraging and shown that everyone understands the importance of wildlife diversity for the park’s appeal, it never hurts to voice our opinion to fight habitat destruction.
Here are two ways to get involved at this stage (use both!!):
1. Fill out the survey at https://myphillypark.org/fdr-park/
2. Show up at the first public community meeting on June 14 at Calvary Temple from 6 to 8 PM.
I hope to see some of my peeps who regularly bird the place next week! Feel free to contact me with any questions.
