Palmyra Cove – October 30th 2016 – Field Trip Report

The last trip here for this year was very birdy – this is normal for a late fall morning here. What wasn’t normal was the 70 degree temps! Birds were quiet after a few hours. Some lingering species like 3 Blackpolls and 1 Nashville. Plus the usual species like White-throated and White-crowned Sparrows. Field and Chipping also. Blue-headed Vireo, Yellow-bellied Sapsucker, etc. I did a a lot of searching for Saw-whet Owls – with no success! – with all the banding station reports I felt maybe one would have put down here for a day or two.

Any questions or comments on this series of trip here, please email me –

Thanks to everyone who came out and participated during this year! A pleasure meeting everyone!”
